About
BibleTide is a website for reading and studying the Bible in four English translations that are in the public domain.
- It is free to use and has no ads.
- You do not need an account.
- It uses no cookies and no trackers. Visitors are counted per day, week and month without any ID (see Privacy).
- Everything you save (highlights, notes, bookmarks, reading-plan progress, settings and history) stays in your browser on your device. You can export it to a file and import it on another device, or delete it all in one step. Details: Privacy.
- After a visit, the site also works offline, and you can install it to your home screen.
Search
Search returns every matching verse, in Bible order. Nothing is filtered out or ranked away.
- Words are matched as whole words: love finds “love” but not “beloved”.
- Put a phrase in quotation marks to find exactly that phrase, for example "daily bread".
- You can choose to include other forms of a word, so that love also finds “loved” and “loves”.
- Put a minus sign before a word or phrase to leave it out (love -"holy spirit"), or a star after the start of a word to find every word that begins that way (lov*).
